That's pretty much what I thought, but this is a book for HTML developers
moving into XHTML - not the folks I want to spring that on, and the
chapter's due tomorrow.

Oh well. I'll throw in a warning message, see if I can find the time to
code it, and catch it in author review.

I'll let you all know if I find the time!
