Mike,

You're perfectly right when you say that conformed XHTML can be output
using the XML output method.

This new output handler is only a facility for programers who want to
output XHTML compliant with C2 and C3 and there was no possibility to do
it without postporcessing before.

I would also like to add that using the XHTML output method would not do
any harm in any case since it's a minor update to the XML Output method
and doesn't change the canonical value of the output document.
 
About the description, I can take the one from news4xt
(/news/000428-0001.xml) which is more accurate than README
file of the download section.

The xmlhack story has been written by Simon St. Laurent and you'll have
to convince him as well !

About the name, I have no strong feeling about it. What do the other
subscribers on this list think ?
