[list4xt] PHP & project-systems

Subject: [list4xt] PHP & project-systems

hello, all

sourceforge has some code & systems that might be beneficial towards the
continuing development of 4xt.

eg:
        http://www.sourceforge.net/project/?group_id=1

. this might also be a good way of keeping track of things.
( bugs, to-do items, requests, external modules, and such )

...and a way to take care of the CVS, with a web interface available on the
same.

It's written in PHP, and I can't remember if it's possible to change the default
href for the mailing-list signup process, but it /is/ possible to point the
"project homepage" link at an already-live site ( and each project comes with an
http://$projectName.sourceforge.net , and some mySQL-enabled web-space )

....so it should be easy-enough to integrate with 4xt.org

, and there is the option of installing the sourceForge code-base on a seperate
web-server, if space-allotments permit.

i wouldn't mind hacking at the customization myself, if given the opportunity

(, and enough patience to deal with however the actual code-digging might go .
and needing to redo the PHP docs into HTML-help, again. "tar -cvf somefile.tar
someplace/path" wiped-out more than a few things. (between "c" and "x"...
hairline mistake) . )

guessing that folks get busy, and needing to do so here, but if the verdict goes
well, just point me to the workbench and I'll see if we can pull the walls up,
on the shop.
