hello.

going with terseness, not intending to be rude. (emails and "tone"... .)

thoughts:

sourceforge

== time-saver

== there'd still be opportunity to try out usage of XT at 4xt.org

== they've already got it built.

== a place at which to anchor the work that's already been offered, re:
documentation.

== a place for someone working on the documentation to get a good, quick, look
at the status of the overall project, and the individual modules.

== a wheel that might need some improvement, but might not need any
reinvent-ment, when XT is an already-active project.

( leisurely hacking can be fun.

        time-allowing, i'd be curious to see what you've got planned for 4xt.org, re:
XSLT.

        but work is work.

        and XT is what people are [ planning on | maybe already ] using for their work.

        and help has already been offered, for working on XT, and I'm hoping we don't
loose this, and that we can get some efficient project-systems running, and
finding that there's already a place which is doing that, to the extent that
they've been able to in the time that it's been up.

)

re: web-dav:

        gave it a look, once.

        it looked like more of a framework than something
implementable-without-a-load-of-yet-more-coding.

        ...I may have missed something about it.

        have you seen any of the "wiki" sites? they've seemed to be a good way to take
care of distributed authoring.

        eg:

        http://mini.net/cgi-bin/wikit/0.html ( TCL )
        http://www.jos.org/ ( PERL? )
        http://c2.com/cgi-bin/wiki?WikiWikiClones ( big list . language X ?)
