Hi,

First, my english is not as good as what I would like..but..
I will try to write things understandable....

I will have to do a lot of work in the Xml / Xsl word in order to
follow the high level of this group of Xml Experts..

I have discovered Java, EJB, Xml and Xsl three months ago.
My normal skills before that were more in Unix, C, C++ and
Relational databases...

I want to mention that I have developped a small Xml Server program
in Java which can be used in two ways: As a proxy to the Apache server
or in a standalone way. The capabilities of the server are to serve :

- GET and POST HTTP request for Xml files,
- GET and POST HTTP request for HTML, gif,, jpeg, mpeg etc..files
(not all the mime types are implemented...)
- GET and POST HTTP request for "Dynamic Java Invocation" allowing to
start transactions for POST requests...

This is a first draft of something I would like to maintain and develop.

(This is my first Java work, so there are surely things to ameliorate..)

The interesting part for this group of people is the way I have
implemented the
James Clark work in this program. This is more or less very close to the
work
already done by Eric (Vdv) exxept the fact that the server handles the
Xsl files in
a more "complex" way : The server tries to locate a xsl file having the
same prefix
name that the xml file in the xml file's directory. If there is no such
xsl file, a file
named "stylesheet.xsl' is looked up in the xml file's directory. If
there is no file
the job is abandonned...

I have also developped a small extention in Java allowing to execute a
sql
statement with parameters which values can be found in the request
parameters
(POST request). This is a very simple implementation..certainly not very
well
optimized...

I don't know Eric, where I should post my work in order to publish it to
the
world (perhaps someone will be intereseted)....

Regards, Igor.
